MXL V77 hum

I think I remember there's been a thread about a V77 that suffered from hum, but I can't find anything with the search function. Now my V77 suffers from a little hum. What can it be, the caps inside the mic, or in the PSU?

Anybody? Thanks .
 
On most condenser mics, hum is usually caused by a bad connection between the grill and body of the mic.

Yes, still doing well (which, in itself, is pretty amazing, considering my smoking, eating habits, and general life style).
 
Ah! please continue your lifestyle Harv and you will get very old.

The V77 problem: I unscrewed the housing, looked for loose screws or anything, found nothing. After putting it together and I mean fermly, the hum was gone completely.

Thanks again Harv, you've really helped me (another old fart) :D
