The other thought is that perhaps if another USB mic may have been used previously maybe Win7 is incorrectly attempting to use its driver instead of recognizing the Nady and installing a driver for it.
I'm hoping DaleVO can drop back and say what is shown for his selection in Audacity for the same interface
Arc,
I cannot remember how it was listed in Audacity. I used to connect it to an XP platform. The Nady is purely a 48v phantom power box, with no adjustable pre-amp gain. I used to connect my mics via XLR in, and USB out to the laptop. XP would see it as an USB microphone, running on the USB drivers. The Nady did not have any specified drivers (PNP) and ran through the XP sound drivers, like a headset.

I have loaded Audacity on my new W7 laptop and will go grab my Nady from the booth, when it quits raining in a bit, to let you know.

Unfortunately I don't have other devices at my disposal to test with and even worse, my monitor has crapped out and I can't use my PC at the moment. So for a while I will have to put my trouble shooting on hold. Thanks for all of the help already guys I really appreciate it.

Maybe you can borrow a dynamic mic to see if the Nady works on something that does't need phantom, once you get the monitor fixed of course.

Yes, when my headset was plugged in I recorded many things.

I know your monitor is down for the count. But, when you return:
Ortiz,
I am assuming that this headset has a built-in mic. Do you have it connected to the computer, using it to listen, at the same time that you are trying to get the Nady and MXL to record?

Also, are you connecting these devices into a USB hub?

How does the Nady show up in your Audacity dropdown selection, as a Nady device, mic, or something else? My Tascam interface shows up as shown below

Here is mine, Arc.

I pulled my 990 from the closet, connected it to the Nady, plugged in the USB (heard the USB connection ding, no driver load nor Add Hardware), checked to see it in the recording properties, disabled the inboard mic, opened Audacity, added a bit of mic gain, and hit record. I think he is having a port conflict, because in post #9 he showed a USB composite device and post #14 shows a USB Hub.
