MXL 603 clips? CAD M179? CM-700?

does anyone have sound clips of these mics on drum overheads? (or acoustic guitar) I'd prefer to buy not just based on recommendations.

do the CADs sound good on guitar amps?

with these mics, would I need 2 mics to get a good drum sound, or would one be just fine?



also I'm interested in used Crown CM-700s, can't seem to find many opinions, anybody tried these? opinions or clips?

No clips from drum over heads but here a couple of clips recording a symphony.
--note these are modified with the Gus Smalley modification(very simple).

I've got a sample clip of one of my friend's songs here:

It was setup with one on the guitar pointing roughly at the soundhole or 12th fret (don't remember). Then the other was pointing roughly at his mouth for vocals. I just threw them up and recorded this one take and it sounded pretty good to me.

Both mics ran straight into my AW16G and then straight to stereo track onto CD.
No effects or anything applied.

Yeah, the bass (crappy Mako bass) was DI'd through a SP VTB-1, if I remember correctly. Thanks for listening.
