hiphop culture... it is a culture

"I personally have MADD influences that ain't black music" ..... you could of said "I personally have MADD influences that ain't related to the culture of hiphop"

but it doesn't matter i just don't like it when people refer to r&b,rap... as "black music" ....yes it might of started from that point but music is music, its a culture for everyone and anyone not just one nationality. think about it, if you call soul/r&b/rap "black music" then everything else is white music? lol thats exactly my point.

You are intitled to your own opinion, but I don't think that your statement was warranted, because of the/your misinterpretation of his statement.

I was under the assumption that The Black Spy was referring to the music on Motown Records, Chess Records, and a lot of the blaxploitation soundtracks on Polydor etc..... in the 60's - 70's.

You might consider retracting the "fag" portion of your post.

Just my $.02, YMMV. ;)

4)hip hop is a culture but it is still considered black music.......
when since the creation of a certain style is started by AND dominated by a certain race of people(black),I guess you can call it black music!!

you don't see white people winning awards for latin albums do you?.............because it's "latin music"......"latin" people started it and dominate it!Also,I can't speak for every black man on the block but.........whenever I hear the phrase "rock and roll"I think of a white band.......because they dominate that shit........when I hear hip hop/rap/r&b etc........I think of black........period......not that it's wrong to mix........I'm not sayin' that......I like it all......but the facts are the facts....I wasn't sayin' other races can't enjoy it I'm sayin' historically that 's exactly what it is........"black music"
