Hi again guys,

I was reading an article about a set-up where a producer had 2 sets of monitors in use at one time for stereo mixing (not for surround sound). Is that kind of set-up a good idea? As well as nearfield's, there was also a set of small speakers on the desk - they looked like Behringer's 1CWH (http://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/shop/view_product.php?product=beh1cwh )

Is there any sense to that set-up? What signal chain / path do you think he used to get them running in conjuction with the larger (KRK) monitors? What would be the benefits / problems of using a set-up like that?

For ABing. I have a set of rubbish standard computer speakers as well as my monitors to check mixes back on.

the producer was saying he has them both running in tandem. But didn't say why. Plugging a gap in the frequencies? Purposefully exaggerating certain freq's that perhaps the KRK's (looked like RP8's) weren't representing faithfully enough? Is there any other reason / benefit to it?
