Is there any problem with loading multiple codec packages? Especially if two separate package cover one or two of the same codec?
I'm thinking about loading the K-lite package as well as Cole2k.Media package.

If anyone has any input I'd appretiate it as I want to setup my video working station to perform the best it can : )

Same question - reason for...

The reason I am considering adding a secondary codec package is my ATI TV Wonder Tuner pci card isn't recording the highest level of DVD.

All of video presets that include audio recording at 48000Hz have a problem with playback even though I'm able to record at 48000 using any audio software. The error message I get is...

The pin cannot use the supplied media type

I was able to record TV using MPEG 1 & 4 as well as presets using the WMV 9 format but not mpeg 2.
I loaded a codec called "DeScaler 5 Mpeg Decorder" and then I was able to record most of the mpeg 2 presets but still not the higher end DVD ones.
I experimented with changing different aspects to the presets such as framerate and deinterlacing options. It seems like the higher audio frequency is giving me the problem even though as I said I'm able to record 48000 Hz on it's own.

So either someone can help me with the question I asked about loading two different codec packages or they could suggest one package that would cover me for playback on all the presets the ATI TV Wonder Multi Media Center offers me. (especially the highest end DVD recording.)
I want that so I can convert the best quality DVD to DivX or XviD.

Help help!
