Hey guys first post here! i hope u guys can help me out..but im using windows xp and the alesis multimix 8 usb mixer and everything used to work fine until a couple of days ago when i plugged in my mixer and my cpu said "usb device not recognized?!?!" im stuck and have no clue what to do, ive been googling everything and no dice, so any suggestions at all would be much apprecated thank you

Yo Dan of IZA great Spring:

Go to the Windows DEVICE MANAGER. You have to cue the device to the device manager in order for Windows to recognize the device. This is usually done when you load in the drivers via the CD rom when you install the new gear.

I've had Windows "forget" to recognize my new printer/copier that I hooked in a couple of weeks ago. After working for a week or two, Windows forgot what it was.

Should be no big deal to get things going again.

ugggghhh man im sooo feed up ive tried everything!

thanks for your response green but what do you mean by cue? the mixer worked in my laptop just last week now it wont even work in there! i have no clue whats going on? can only please help!

:eek:Yo Dan:

By CUE, I mean you have to assign the device to the "device manager" of Windows. I've had this problem where Windows doesn't want to "recognize" new gear. Or, suddenly, Windows forgets that it used to recognize the gear.

It's a crazy world. Maybe I'm way wrong. Just a suggestion.
