hate to spam all of the forums but I really respect a lot of the opinions in here, so I posted some mp3s in the mixing clinic. I am hoping to get feedback that is pertinent to my own style. I have been using strictly mid-level gear and this forum has contested my notion of what "home" recording really is. because i come here to "home" recording.com bbs and you are all using avalons and vintage german vocal mic clones and ahhhh!
so please go listen to my mp3s. tell me if my mid-level gear is adequate for my sound. I am not trying to produce demos, I am trying to produce albums. if not, please guide me towards what preamps and mics you would recommend. I really like my guitar and bass sound. vocals and drums I think are what makes a recording. thanks again.
