mp3 recorder suggestions

Can people suggest a brand/model of mp3 recorder??

I am a drummer and want to (1) record ideas on the spot (2) be ableto upload them to my computer and send them to other musicians (3) be able to record to mp3 and wav formats (4) have "line in" and "mic" jacks

I have a stereo condenser mic.

I am hoping to find something under $250.

It's very hard to find info since everything is geared towards players only.

The Edirol R-1 Portable 24-Bit WAVE Recorder & Player looks PERFECT but at $450 I guess I am looking for something a little more affordable...

Archos makes some nice ones that you can record directly to the player. I think they have a small stereo input plug that can double as a mic input.

Check out the Gmini 120 which sells for around $200 and the Gmini 220 which sells for around $250 US. A soundman buddy of mine has an older model Archos and it kicks some real ass for a teeny tiny recorder.

I decided to get the Korg Pandora PXR4 - I have learned that the mpe player industry is basically avoiding getting into the recording aspect. Usually they only offer one line in which would record too hot, particularly for drums - and I don't feel like getting a pre-amp or mixer so I am spending twice as much but at least I can get the job done and have a multitude of effects to help out. The PXR4 has gotten alot of great reviews.
