I gather that idrive, xdrive, juston and free drive are no good.
How does mp3.com compare? They boast about all the hits their site gets, but that just sounds to me like a huge possibility of never getting your stuff noticed. I like the 'pay for play' thing - I would enjoy joining that elite group of recordistas who have '$5.48 in payback earnings' posted on their page.
I checked out out Lycos, but you have to agree to letting your stuff be used for promotional material. Is that good news or worrying?
Pglewis, in a current thread, talks about paying for a reliable host for his stuff. What's that about? I pay my service provider, and get 2MB of homepage space in return. Big deal. Are there specialized homepage sites that offer a warehouse of space if you pay?
I tried a search on this, but it was unresponsive. Maybe I should have tried soft music and a candlelight dinner first.
