Do the different .mp3 encoders produce different audio quality for the same settings, or are the algorithms the same? I have only used cwenc. I've always used variable bit rate set at extreme quality. Every song I've converted to .mp3 sounds different from the wav. The mix sounds different and the sharp edges go away. I know it's lossy compression and that's gotta be a result of that. But maybe a different algorithm in a different encoder might sound better
