Monitors with digital inputs (RCA)?

I am looking for a good pair of monitors that have a digital input in rca type plug. I'm running a maya 1010 soundcard and I'm already using all 8 ins/outs on the card and want my master to playback through the channel 9/10 digital output.

Are there monitors with direct digital ins?

Any response would be appreciated.

Digidesign has some. Not many reviews yet.

They purchased M-Audio but these were not related to that purchase per the article.

The Digidesign RM1 and RM2 monitors will be available May 2007 at a price of $1,249 for each RM1 and $1,749 for each RM2.

Balanced analog input (XLR)
AES 3 digital input (XLR)—accepts 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz sample rates
AES digital input (RJ-45)
AES digital THRU connector (RJ-45)

rca=coaxial type connectors?

I'm not really sure what the conversion into the speaker buys as far as sound?

Plan to read a bit on this technology and its benefit too.

good luck

if cheap is what you're after this may not be the best idea ya ever had...

to move the convertors into the speaker is way difficult to do and get it right... all that em field etc is a hazardous environment for powered electronics... ask any one that went to powered monitors early on...ymmv...
