I'm looking for reliable, height adjustable stands for my Yorkville monitors. They're 9 1/2 in. x 10 in. x 16 1/2 inches. First pair I deemed unworthy because they were a fixed height of 36 inches. I felt I needed height adjustable stands. I then tried the On stage 2 for 1 "deal" at Musiciansfriend, but they don't seem to be very good at all. Their bases are triangular, which makes no sense when monitor speakers are rectangular. The platforms on these are 9 x 9, leaving the edges of my monitors hanging off. Before I experienced the terror of walking into my basement and seeing my babies on the floor, shattered, I will be returning them. It was an accident waiting to happen.

I would like my monitors to be at least 3 feet apart. They're currently on phonebooks...Can anyone recommend some good stands or recording desk suiting my needs? My budget is around $200.

Thank you very much. Sorry if I am asking a redundant question.

Sorry if I am butting in but I have a question about the passive monitors would my stereo like cd player receiver work as an amp for it?

Thanks and good luck with your question.

you can go to the DIY thread and maybe make some pvc stands. be creative on making them adjustable? or just cut some different heights until you know where you want them....or maybe adjustable feet to raise or lower them.

I been thinking about the same thing for my PC recording setup, maybe small 12" or so, stands.
