Modified Apex Ribbon Mic Delivers!

I have modified a few Apex 210 ribbon mics with CMI transformers to give them that smooth RCA model 44 type of sound. The only weak link in the Apex mic is the transformer and this is an extremely economical way to get a $1000 mic for about $300. I used the CM-9888 model which I believe makes all the difference.
