mixing screw up between piano and guitar

I was recently trying to record a piano sound through Reason with my acoustic guitar and I noticed that the piano sounded funky and out of tune even though it's part of Reason's 'tuned' patchbase. I was wondering what the deal is and how I can fix this?

Here is a sample of the problem. The piano is playing the same notes as the guitar and it sounds all weird.

what are the sample rates you're working at? are they both the same??? could be one is in 44.1 and the other in 48 (might explain the timing issue as well?)


or...could be your guitar is out of tune
 
ok the sample rates were fine, but I am guessing the guitar was out of tune because I re-recorded the track with the guitar in tune and now it sounds better. the timing is my problem and another problem too lol
