hey, i've asked this question before but its on like page 3 or so with 2 replies. anyway, i've recorded a few of my bands songs with n-track, and i was just wondering what are some common uses of eq and effects for rock (foo fighters, rhcp, etc) i saw on one post about cloning the guitar and adding a milisecond delay on 1 track, panning each track left and right. i guess im just looking for an overall guide of what to do after recording, if there's one online i'd love to see it. ive also seen on posts about "making sure each part has its own frequency" i know what this means, but i dont know how to go about doing it. so i think i need info on common effects and EQ cuts & boosts that are used for different instruments (specifically, guitar, drums, bass, vocals, and a little sax) -Nate

one more thing, i was thinking about using cakewalk pro9, i've heard from a lot of people that it works great.

I like to use Cakewalk 9 and Vegas Audio 2.0.

You should seriously contemplate using one of these programs.

peace...:)
