Much more helpful.
Turned a new leaf, has he? I read it too. Ever heard of the game called cat and mouse?

Yeah, but...lol; I called him a cumfunnel before I saw it. I think I'm going for the "positive reinforcement" approach, lol.crawdad said:Ever heard of the game called cat and mouse?
Yeah, like your helpful answer to the guy who asked how he should mix his song. Your reply was to move all the faders levels down to 0 so it couldn't be heard.
I will agree aboot the excess of "gushy" critiques. Sometimes I'll hear something that sounds pretty bad, both recording-wise and music-wise, and yet I'll see fifty people coming back with, "This is great, man." I just can't imagine that it's all that helpful to the artist to hear nothing but positive replies, while they're still putting out extremely amateur material.

Even Bohemian Rhapsody had its detractors ("pretentious load o' crap", I seem to remember)
Sure you can.... I don't generally listen to RAP on a regular basis, but I can easily judge the overall sound quality and mix balance of a track!Khompewtur said:To address a different angle though, I do wonder if there is a point where you can recognize that something was done well even if it doesn't float your boat.
