Mixer Issue, How Would You Wire This Up?

I have a Yamaha MG166c mixer. It has 8 mono and 4 stereo inputs. Below is my gear list, how would you wire it up?

  • MPC 2500
  • Electron Octatrack
  • SP-404 SX
  • Access Virus Darkstar
  • Access Virus TI
  • Korg Radias
  • Kossilator
  • Kaos Pad 3

I think I have to much gear that needs to be stereo to use this mixer.

Any advice because I'm pulling my hair out with this mixer and slightly confused.

Forgot to note, I do have a patchbay too. I could patch devices to stereo when needed I suppose, but if I'm using all 4 stereo devices, something is going to have to be in mono.
 
What are you trying to do - put together a live set up? If this is for recording, you don't need a mixer, you need an interface with as many channels as you will recording at one time.

Yeah it's for recording.

I will be using a good few devices together, as I have a midi patchbay that routes up to Logic.

An interface is the way to go you say? Explain a little more please, thanks.
 
Why does everything need to be in stereo...?

Will all the gear be used together, at the same time, all the time...?
If no...use a patchbay or just repatch to the mixer as needed.

Please read THIS THREAD first. This will explain what the audio interface is and does.
Note that the number of individual channels/tracks you want to record at one time dictates the interface to use. Note that the more tracks you need at once, the higher the cost. Note that there are interfaces with Midi capability as well If you are driving some of these devices through midi, you don't need to record them all at the same time.
