Mix and reward 150$

alright so im pretty sure im not getting thewhole mixing thing

so

if anyone wants to do this instant message me at appleyardrules69 or email me at morpheous90@comcast.net alright
heres the situation
our band is recording a full lenght cd 10-12 songs and we are in need of mixing assistance. now, whoever wants to do this contact me and i will send you files of a song, its not the tightest playing, but i would like something to base the mixing aspect off of. whoever does the best job will have the option to mix our whole cd if interested and it pays 150 bucks
 
Cool idea but who judges what the best job is? You could always host a mixoff contest here and use the $150 for prize money. Reward kinda makes me think we're catching a thief.
 
As I understand it; one gets the 150 bucks for mixing his whole album, not only that track.

Either way, I'm game.
 
I'm game to. I love the idea of a mix off contest where everyone takes and individual track, mixes it and we put them up and run a timed poll on this forum. It would be great to hear different contrasts and styles and to see it we could fit it together into an album.
 
alkright ill actually find a website to host the files and ill post them up
its only abouta 2 minute piece of a song

and just so its clear to everyone

whoever makes the best mix (im judging by the way) can mix our album if theyd LIKE to and IF they do they get 150 dollars

and just so im not bsing if one chose to mix our album i would pay half first then half when its done

how bout,

it's a mix one song to determine the winner, who gets 150$ to mix the entire 11 songs.

75 front and back.
 
sounds like a good sport.. im in...
(but might hot be able to compete due to my bandwidth problem ie. dialup)
id still like to see how this all pans out
will you post the entries somewhere for all to hear?
 
You're smokin' way too much crack if you think you'll get a quality mix at $150/album. $150/song is one thing, but for all 11-12 songs??? You're high.
