Any one have success with using vokator in real time with cubase? or any virtual instruments for that matter, i'm sure the problem is little to with vokator and more with me not knowing how get my midi keyboard to comunicate with the vst instument. cubase reads the midi keyboard fine but not in conjunktion with the vst plugins. Any advice?

thanks

A vocoder?

Which version of Cubase are you using? I use SL, and it's simple. Set up your MIDI track, go to the strip on the left hand side where it shows all the track info, select the input to be your MIDI controller and the Output to be whatever VSTi you are trying to control.

Hmm, I'm using cubase le. maybe this is the issue? It's weird because i get levels and the default piano sound with my controller when in cubase and even once i open vokator as a vst instrument the little midi thing glows. but no vokator sounds at all. Also you have to have i mic armed as well so you can sing but use the keyboard to control, so you just set them both to record? i mean the midi channel and the mic.

If it's a vocoder, then that would be the case (I think). I don't ever use those, so I couldn't tell you. What does it say in the software manual?
