Hah, here I thought I knew stuff about recording, now here I am asking this question, hehehe.
I have always just recorded, and edited on my Multi-track processor, but now I am hoping to get into computer editing.
Using my AW16G, I would like to transfer files to my pc, but my pc doesn't have midi, or any crazy soundcard, it's very basic.
I have a few different programs on my computer, basically I'd just like to use it for mixdown, and continue using the AW16 for everything else, since I do alot of recording on the go.

How can I do this, without losing an arm and a leg?? Is there a MIDI adapter or something??

Thanks

You can use a Midi Interface Check them out Here

I dont know to much about Midi(sorry)but i hope that helps you :) .

MIDI isn't going to help you much, I'm afraid. To transfer audio (i.e., recorded sound) from the AW16G, you have to use the onboard CDRW drive. Then you'd import the audio files from the CD into your favorite software DAW (Cubase, Sonar, ProTools, Audacity, Kristal, Tracktion, etc.) running on the computer.

You did get the CDRW drive, right? If not, you're pretty much stuck with mixing within the AW16G.

Yes, I do have the CDRW drive, ....
So what do I have to do to import it into Audacity?
Just go to the Backup page and copy from there??
