Midi sync? tempo map?

I have been trying to Midi sync my Md-8 to my Korg X3. Also I am using a tempo map, since the time changes during the song.
However when I go to record my Korg is not reading the tempo map.
I have set My Korg to EXT for Midi clock and Put Midi sync on the Md-8. I have done this before and it worked ok. So how come it doesn't want to work now?

I figured it out! What I did was change my midi cord and it seemed to work fine. I don't know why it would trigger the Korg with the old cord but not read the tempo map! Mystery I guess!
