MIDI random problem

For some reason my MIDI conversion quit working on me. My process was to mute all channels expect an empty audio and the MIDI channel. Then I would record until the whole MIDI was converted. Well that quit working. The Audio records, but it does not pick up anything from the MIDI channel although the MIDI plays what should be recorded. Any advice, it just stopped working on me? Any other ways I could convert MIDI to an audio. Thanks. Also if anyone knows how to do it with Fruityloops that would be great. peace.
 
Do you need to bounce the midi to audio? There is really no reason to do so.

If you absolutly need to, just solo the midi track and do an export mixdown

I did that and it exports but nothing plays when I try and play the exported.
 
Check your manual, you are obviously missing something
