MIDI Controllers Help!

I am getting into midi and I have an audiophile 24/96. I want to start making my own beatz like hip hop n freestyle and etc. I was wondering if a keyboard is a good choice to go with. I was looking at the Roland Pc-300 and the MIDI Oxygen 8. Any suggestions? Are these good controllers to make hip hop/dance beatz? thanx in advance

line of keys including the 61 key Korg Triton.

get the program Fruity Loops. You can make pretty great songs with that. From techno to orchestral, whatever.
