Hmmm...probably not the best way to

a) get a critique of your song here

or

b) get more plays for your tune on mp3.com

Gotta be careful what you use this forum for, I think. Its not a good place to try and advertise or promote.

it isn't the right forum? this is the mp3 clinic isn't it?

..lets push this song to #1 !!!
I beleive Chris was referring to that statement...

This is the MP3 "CLINIC" -- you post something here to get advice on the sound quality, or some aspect of mixing, or recording technique....

This is NOT a free advertising forum to try to increase your MP3 hit count....

Bruce

i didn't realize there were such guidelines set by the CLINIC...does it really matter what website the song is on? i could debate and debate this to death, but i don't really give a damn...

NEVERMIND TO ALL THOSE MEMBERS WHO READ THIS POST!! DON'T GO TO MY MP3 SITE AND LISTEN TO THE TRACK.. I WOULDN"T WANT TO INFILTRATE YOUR MINDS WITH MY ADVERTISING TECHNIQUES!

Gimme a fuckin' break...........

What's with the sarcasm??? You asked WHY and I answered you............

OK!

Hey, Samich.

I wasn't trying to be insulting or start a debate, I was trying to share something I've noticed about this forum. No, there is no rule that you can't use it to increase your hit count on mp3.com.

However, if you are obviously trying to increase your hit count, or you appear to be, you probably won't get very many listens or comments. Or much respect.

I was pointing it out because I figured you'd want to know how your post might make you look in the eyes of the excellent reviewers here in the Clinic. When you reposted a song that you have already posted (which I believe was hosted at NoWhere) on mp3.com and ask us to help push the song to #1 it looks as though you aren't interested in our feedback, just our hit counts.

Regardless of your intention, that's how it looks.

I don't know if I would be interested in spending 15 minutes downloading your song and listening to it if you weren't really interested in my comments. Or paying much attention to any other songs that you post here.

I figured that wasn't how you wanted to come across to the folks who listen here in the clinic. That's why I let you know.

Chris

i've re-responded to atleast 60 comments on my songs..all stating the greatest of appreciation for their time, respect and interest...to say that my only intention or seemingly only intention is hit counts is just pure ignornace...you've responded to my songs before as have i responded to yours, you should know better than that. i could care less about hit counts, it was merely a statement of sillyness, knowing that it wouldn't make a difference and that it was of least importance//i acknowledge that my points weren't very clear...

sometimes i think hat some of the members here are too uptight, then i think that i should have more respect because i am a rather new member, but then i ponder that we are all in the same boat and should be allowed to joke amongst each other...i don't know./..this is how i am and i'm not leaving, i like these posts...i gather a lot of great feedback on more than just myself and i think i add a little positive tension to the community, so you guys better get used to it :)
