Mics for Acoustic Fingerstyle

Hi I am wanting to record fingerstyle acoustic guitar only. I am not sure which mic I should buy (I at least know I need a condenser, but need recommendations) and how many I need if more than one. I am on a TIGHT budget and am wanting to achieve a similar sound as what I have put below (Antoine Dufour). I am willing to save up as well so everything is a possibility and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated as to how to achieve such a great sound! Also I'm not sure what pickup he's using or how much of it....

Thanks!

Hey Mac...... check out an Apex 460 tube microphone $187.
I kinda like acoustic fingerstyle captured by an omni setting on a microphone,About 2 to 3 feet away and level with the instrument.
You'll experience a full natural reproduction of the performance.

moresound's advice is good advice. The Apex 460 is a beautiful mic.

I'll just throw in that if you want to go with a non-tube mic, the SM81 is a gorgeous mic for pretty much any acoustic instrument. It's a bit pricier, but well worth it in my opinion.

I like these for acoustic instruments in order of low price to high ($ per mic):

Rode NT5 ($215)
AT4021 ($249)
Peluso CEMC6 ($294) - particularly nice on fingerpicked guitar
SM81 ($349)
Beyer MC930 ($599)

Hear a lot of SDC mics here:

Getting a pair lets you record a solo performance in stereo - but in a dense mix a single mic will do.

Listen to a pair of CEMC6 on Prayer for Noah here:
