i'm fairly new at recording drums. i used four microphones:
2 SP B1's for overheads (about a foot above the drummer's head, one aiming the snare and one aiming the bass drum sort of) i might try to do x-y configuration next time
SHURE SM57 (close to the outer-edge of snare aiming at the center of snare about an inch above)
Sennheiser E609 (stuck it inside the kick drum)
listen to the track "Bitter End Drums" and tell me what you think:

i think the cymbals and hi hat are a bit loud and the floor tom and the high and low toms are too low. what would be a good suggestion/placement for the microphones. and also, if i do an x-y configuration where should the overhead mics be aimed at. any help is appreciated.
