Anyone got one? What does it compare to? Similar to ebony, or is it's own thing that you can't describe?

Thanks

Oh, I've heard of it.

never even heard of it !!!

google!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martin uses it one some models. I just wanted to hear from someone who has one.

I have a couple Martins with micarta finger boards.

They look alot like an ebony finger board from a few feet a way.

I think they are actually a little easier on your fingers than wood and they look very appealing to the eye. I've only had mine for a couple of years and I have
a lot of guitars so I can't tell you how they wear. But there is no wear at all on either of mine and I do a lot of string bending. They are very smooth and play as good or better "perhaps be on a Martin" that ebony or rosewood or maple.

Thanks RandyW

That's the kind of information I was looking for.
