mic repair?

Ahoy,

I recently purchased a Shure KSM27 off ebay that was as-is. I got it and there's a crackle in the sound. Would it be a possible fix? I've repaired a couple mic's when they were simple soldering jobs. Could this be it? How would I go about taking apart a KSM27? Looking at the casing I can see only one screw hole and that seems to loosen only the XLR jack.

often crackling in condenser mics is caused by moisture... so first try putting it in a zip lock bag with some of that silica gel that's used for packing... may be that simple...
