Ah, yeah that does suck. And to think I have two of these. I am doing like you mention, running it below the yellow to avoid the distortion. I see what you are saying regebro that the light might just be adjusted wrong. At least knowing what the problem is it can be worked around more confidently. Thanks.

BTW what is the difference between the distortion that the MP makes, and the general Tube sizzle that read about from time to time?

How 'bout Joe Meek's VC3Q or Presonus's Blue Tube (Max)? I'm thinking about an Audio Buddy as well but would like to add a bit of character to the vocal tracks...
 
Tube MP

Just a quick vote in favor of the Tube MP. I've had one for several years, and it has given good service. It is especially nice on acoustic guitar. It does have a tendency to buzz a bit... especially when cold. Tube gear likes to warm up.
 
the sm57 "especially nice on acoustic guitar"....probably not.....gets a decent enough sound on acoustic guitar?....of course....would I do it?....yes.....

got my audio buddy, its great, just what i needed, the sm 57 sounds great with it. i should be geting a delta 44 tommorow.(Birthday present) cant wait...
