The first one is unbelievable noisy (sony?) unusable for anything....The second one has no detail.....sounds like a blanket is over the mic.....the 3rd mic sound a little better than the 2nd...The 4th has more body than the rest but really mid-rangy......5th sounds weird in general.......57 sounds the best so far, but not great...the last one was pretty crappy overall.......Maybe you should take the low/mid of the 57 and mix it with (only) the highs from the 3rd mic (with a high pass set at 10k).....thanks for the "shoot-out":

Ta - a combo would be the next logical step be it XY or another config. The useful feedback I've recieved will inform that next step.

Thanks Mr ACGTR! I actually ordered from Hilarious as well. I wasn't happy with the pre moments after i recieved it (gift) but am finding uses for it.

Isn't the number of threads being hijacked by abusive elitists interesting? I'm bemused that their higher status, knowledge & worldview don't lend them a need to communicate, share & educate the lesser mortals. instead they seem to need to vent spleen on folk like myself. Rather like the "master" farting & then kicking the loyal dog eh?
