Mic cables

I guess so, I mean, price is no object. I'll need probably like 100-150 feet of mic cable for my rapper clientel. Should I run this into my audiobuddy or my warm tube mp for the best rap sound? Remember, I'm a professional.

Ya killin me, smalls!

You could also try redco.com -> they make pretty well-priced cables with good material, and you can choose from a number of different cable brands, etc., to check out price-points. I've gotten some cable from them, and it has never disappointed. buh-bam!

They're great. I use nothing but the best or every connect in my studio and the cables are so good that I use a 4 track cassette and a radio shack mic and I sing and play horribly on the worst instruments that aren't even tuned, hell, I don't even use real strings and yet I sound like Ricky Neslon.

I know what you mean. This is the type of microphone we use:

We sound like Frank Sinatra mixed with Neil Diamond. In rap, of course. I obviously care very much about our signal path, I think I will go ahead and get those cables. We'll sound better than Jesus.

Increased Lyric Intelligibility?

Yes, Sufjan Stevens actually mentions seven swans in the song, “Seven Swans”.

* An easily discerned benefit by even non-audiophile ears, and an undervalued indicator of noise removal.

Musical, Well-Defined Bass?

Believe it or not, there is a musical note behind that rumbling.

* Wall-shaking bass misses the point if it disguises the music. Every acoustic bass instrument has its own character and tone; you'll know you're on the right track when you begin to hear these signatures through your stereo.

Larger Sound Stage?

“I can’t believe that’s only two-channel! There’s surround-sound speakers hidden in the walls
right?”

* Welcome to two-channel done right. Your speakers disappear and musical images shoot at you from all directions, sometimes scarily so! Higher, wider, deeper . . . you name it. The sound stage grows as more signal is permitted to flow through these large gauge conductors.

Less Listener Fatigue?

No, we can’t cure a hangover, but you can say good-bye to that pressure in your ears after a
listening session.

* Not sure where that headache came from? Fatigue occurs quickly when listening to poor sound. It's your body's way of telling you that something isn't right - you'd be wise to heed its advice.

Lower Noise Floor?

Where’d the hum go?

* Cables function as antennas that pick up energies which become amplified through your speakers. Our True Float Ground technology shields so well you can even criss-cross your cables without adverse effect.

Snap, who the hell recorded this stuff to begin with? I mean, the source material (and the $2 DAC in your CD player) must be pretty damn great for the cables to be the last barrier to all these benefits.

I've been had!

I didn't look at that link and thought you were actually asking for cable company suggestions, lol.

I'd say those are the way to go though.

Is that site real???

Why the fuck do those cables cost so much?

I don't care if the wire inside has been replaced with 100% conductive unicorn hairs!

I always wonder what people like that listen to. SRV? Beastie Boys? Bob Dylan?

Mr Trankley has an equally well suited and acoustically treated room there too it seems to hear all this magic in.

No G.A.S. here, even if they are on sale.

Please, nobody forward the link to the Pentagon . . .

Anyone else think its funny that they sell you a 2 ft mic cable for $8000... and then use standard $3 switchcraft connectors?

. . . or that they're still using copper for the wire . . .
