i have a GAD capacitor microphone that's about two years old, and it has this high frequency buzz when i record on to my four track. i've found that if i put my hands on the microphone itself AND the metal XLR connector piece on the microphone cable at the same time, the buzz goes away. can anyone tell my what the cause of this could be??

I had a simular problem at a club with our bass player. The club was so poorly wired. His bass strings actually shocked ya if you rested your forearm on it. Same with the mics, felt like chicken wire.

Our light man ended up having to hook up his own breaker box to the main power source for the building.
