My amp is a Laney TT100H. Yea it was a little disappointing, I mean Bob was great to work with. I am just a normal consumer of today. (read impatient)

Wow, what a bummer!

Naka~glad that you too are happy with your JJ's. For comparison, I'd like to get some Mesa tubes, but who can afford them just to experiment!
I am saving my pennies though...literally :o

My old tubes were mesa, I tell you JJ`s won hands down.

Man I love my new sound :D

Bob at eurotubes is the man. Mesa tubes are actually pretty crap, low quality and quite cold - but ridiculously expensive! I get tubes for my Mesa gear from eurotubes, send Bob an email with a bit of information such as the sound you are looking for and the other gear in your rig and he will give you a few options.

Need to re-tube my mesa Mark 111 simulclass (initials and black dot ... early model) This is going to be expensive but I have heard positives from Eurotube. Have any of you all (y'all) retubed this type of amp? I am pretty familiar with tube design and tube spec but I have heard/read that using all 6l6 vs 2 6l6 and 2 el 34 is not reccomended; even though the amp manual states that a full quartet of 6l6 is ok. I suppose that because the amp is fixed bias that if you used 6l6 in outer sockets you would in essence be under/over biasing the outer pair Comments??? I believe Randall Smith has commented about this, but I can't remeber where I read that. Thank you in advance. Thurgood.

Try calling Mesa instead of using their website ..... you'll get a tech that'll be able to help.
The color coding simply identifies tubes that'll be cleaner or have more distortion.

I just retubed my Mesa with tubes from them and it cost $89 ..... the EL84's were like $10 a piece so they're not any more money than anyone else.

Hey Lt. Bob. been following you for a while, Lead on LT. La. is not far from here. The parents are in Lake Providence as we write. If I remeber you have quite the stash of amps. Lt. Bob is correct about the color thing.

Yeah, I have 13 fairly nice and old tube amps.

I have, however, moved to Florida.
Guess I'd better change my profile huh?
:D
