Hey there, not sure why my previous thread was closed or why it didn't receive any criticism, but I will make another attempt.

This is a song I recorded for some friends of mine. Their band is called Mason Grahl (pronounced Grail). I am relatively new to recording on my own and this is done with my first acceptable recording rig. Everything you hear is recorded, no samples.

There is very little post processing beyond mixing. Slight drum and saxophone reverb, bass compression/EQ, and drum track EQ's.

Please Please provide me with criticism and comments that will improve my recording.

Track is available on bandcamp -

I greatly appreciate it,

Guitar (rythum) is too loud. Guitars get a little mushy at 2:00. Not sure what just happened at 2:40 (it just poked me in the ears kinda funny). (second listen) Might need more Kick. a little more snap on snare might be good. Cymbals get too loud in some spots (add compression maybe). Wow, the kick just popped through about 2:40 and poked me, that shouldn't happen (compression might help, limiter, or maybe surgery)
Best I can do for now-
Good Luck
