Hi gang.
Hands up anyone who knows anything about making a solid bodied Lap Steel (sometimes known as a Hawaiian) guitar. I would like to know what wood (timber to my American cousins) that is available in England would give me smooth mid range tone and fairly bright top end tone. I have the plans for the physical construction that I got from the net, but any additional advice on making one of these Lap Steels would be greatly appreciated.
