What up fellow rockers. I recently moved into a new place with the perfect spot for an iso booth. Basically , it is a 5x5 section of a storage closet. I have two walls to use (the back wall and side wall) . Now here are my questions, keeping in mind that the booth will be used for tracking vocals, acoustic guitar and the massive tube crunch of a mesa triple rec (guitar amp):
1) the floor is linoleum on concrete (yikes!).. I was thinking of a shag carpet. I have no idea about floor coverings, so all suggestions are welcome.
2) I was going to make the other walls of the iso booth out of folding closet doors covered in some sort of foam (auralex or the like) This way, if I used two folding closet doors attached to each other, I could have 6 different surfaces (including the two existing walls). AND THEN I was going to cover the top of the whole thing with a sheet of sound board covered in foam.
This might be hard to visualize, but if anyone can picture it (imagine 5' of two walls meeting in a corner then creating 'makeshift' walls out of the folding closets) , I would appreciate the help!!!!!
