mackie vlz pro vs audio buddy

are these two basically about as good as eachother? i have a mackie 1604 vlz pro that i can use... umm. so is there any point in keeping the audio buddy, or should i sell it and put it towards a soundcard, or nicer pre or something?

Use the Mackie for your mic pre but take the signal out at the inserts. Sell the Audio Buddy. No point in keeping both.
