I have gone back to using my Mackie DFX 6 compact mixer. I was using a Soundecraft EPM 6 for a while .with my RCF 322a active speaker.
The mackie at one time had a loud hum but some reason that seems to have disappered, which is great its only slightly there.
I must say the mackie mic pre's are better sounding in my ears plus the 5 band slidable eq , when kicked in adds that extra punch.
I mainly do vocals and guitar gigs and when I have the guitar plugged into a good DI box the sound is crystal clear.
Just wondering what the new Mackie 1202 is like, is it similar in sound quality.
Plus I was thinking of investing also in one of the Allen & Heath ZEd 12, does anyone know if they are similar in terms of sound quality. Or even the Allen and Heath PA 12, would you say that was better the the zed series?
