M216 mixer surgery

I was wondering about the possibility of butchering this (now unused) mixer for its preamps alone. The channels are on individual circuit boards. Need to figure out where the power is being fed in, their voltages and audio inputs/outputs. Don't care about the eq stage.

Anyone out there attempted this kind of thing before?

2 things come to mind.... first if you dont know how to figur out how/where the supply voltages are/go then it's probably not a good project for you to start with... second.... who cares go for it.... btw uless you really know something about doing this and especially about things like building powersupplies and recapping it aint goona sound any better out of the frame than in it...

I think you'd be a lot better off if you just sold it for a couple of hundred bucks and put that money toward a stand alone pre-amp if that's what you're looking for. At least that way, someone else might be able to put your mixer to good use and considering they don't make that mixer any more, it's a good thing to not destroy what's left of a diminishing pool of used inventory.

Cheers! :)
