i always have recorded fine in aa but thru the pc soundcard with pc mic. now i stepped up to a real condenser mic with the m audio pre usb interface now i can hear sound outside of the aa program but cant hear it in aa program. someone help am i not choosing the sound card or what??? how do u choose??

You need to go into Options, Device settings, and choose your new soundcard as the output and the input if you haven't done so already.
