If I were to purchase a M-Audio Delta 1010LT PCI AUdio card, http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/search/detail/base_pid/701376/ , would i be able to hook up, via an adapter, to my Behringer MX 2004A mixer, http://www.nbmusic.dk/images/Behringer EURORACK 2004A.jpg? THe Delta has what apperas to be RCA output and inputs, but my mixer has 1/4 inch Pre-Fader outputs and 1/4 inch line-inputs.

Are there any cords or adapters that would allow me to hook up the Delta to my mixer without having to purchase the 1010 digital audio system,http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=rec/search/detail/base_pid/701340/ , ?

Thank you
John

If the Pre Out's on your board are in effect Direct Outputs and not an Insert send and return loop, then yes that HOSA snake would be the right cabling.
Again, if the outputs you speak of on you mixer are direct outputs but they are a TRS jack .... that just means they are balanced outputs. You would still be fine using that snake, as the 1010LT's inputs are un-balanced. Just keep your cable lengths under 20 feet. The shorter the better.

Well, I guess they are the same, but what about: http://www.music123.com/Hosa-Insert-Cable--1-4--TRS-Males-to-RCA-i13573.music isn't that would you'd need? Except each 1/4" has 2 RCAs for it, so I'm confused how that works...

That's for an Insert loop.
An Insert consists of a send and a return path via a TRS cable. Hence the reason for the two RCA connections per 1/4" TRS. One RCA is the output of the Insert and the other is the return.
It's an effects loop for outboard effects.

Here is a sample from the manual to help you out on what I have:

"Channels one through eight also feature High Impedence (line) Inputs and PRE-fader, post-gain outputs which may be used for connecting effects or outboard E.Q. directly to the channel. The HI-Z inputs will also accept an high impedence microphone, instrument pickup, tape deck output or or output signals from sources within the Audiopro or from other mixers."
