I redid it again before your reply. I had too much verb on it on the second mix. So Sunday, I backed off the verb again. The only difference between this and the first, is I brightened up the guitars a little. As far as recording interface, I have a Mackie 1640 firewire mixer. So everything runs through the preamps of the Mackie and then into my pc. I then mix in the box. I use mostly all Acuma Labs plugins. The reverb is an Acuma Labs plugin. As far as signal chain goes can you be more specific.

i was referring to the second mix because i listened to it before not long after the first thinking i liked the first better but hadn't posted that yet. There seemed to be a few overpowering elements on the second i thought anyways.

After listening to the 3rd, those overpowering elements seem to be gone. But still for some reason want the sound of the first back. So i like the first & 3rd mix better than the 2nd, and not sure between the first & third, if i'm remembering correctly still like the first a tad better than the third. Is there a way i could listen to them side by side, or is the first gone now?

as for your chain etc, i'm totally new at recording & just learning so can't be much more specific but you pretty much answered my question so far. thanks:)

also, i don't know why but while i've been listening to it today i've been imagining a sort of space cowboy sort of thing with it:D cool video? probably because i heard 'space lord muthuh muthuh' in my car today not long before i started listening to this:):D

I have both and will post the other later. Will pm the two links. The final mix of the first was also compressed more. I did reduce the compression some on the third mix. Anyway as soon as I get it done I'll send you a link. My daughters have a choir concert tonight, and we have soccer Wednesday and Thursday, so it will be later this week.

thanks, no rush, look forward to comparing the difference:)

I dig the delayed guitars. I like all the guitars actually. The whole thing does have a slightly 80's vibe to it.
This really needs vocals on top of it to make it. The vibe is very cool. The recording sounds great! But, it would take some vocals to make be play it over and over again, still I listened twice. Drums sound sweet.

Thanks. Being a HS Graduate (I think I did) of 1980, thats my era !!!!! 70's and 80's produced alot of good stuff.
