The Classic 30 seems extremely light to me, but I have no problem carrying around my Classic 50/212 either.
Well, then I'd concur with the Peavey Classic 30, but the weight of it (and most all-tube amps) are usually pretty heavy to lug around.
For all around use and lighter weight you might want to consider a tube hybrid amp like the Marshall AVT50 or the Vox AD50VT.
If you are going to be gigging, then stay away from the VOX ADxx amps. They are NOT built to withstand the rigors of travel. They are great for home only or studio only use. The Peavey will hold up MUCH better......
I make a point of keeping good care of my equipment.
I've wondered about those .Best value for the $$ is the Pignose GV40. Comes w/ a 10" but 40W will drive a 4-12" cab no problem. Very sweet clean to extremly nasty at hi gain. Pick up with 2 fingers. easily modded to take a 12" scorpion. Used for $200.00
