Logic Pro setup

I have Logic pro 8 setup on a mac. I am unable to monitor instruments while recording. It does record and play back but it does not make it to the output while recording. I am using a Digi rack 002. I also have Pro tools LE 8 and it functions fine this problem only is in Logic.
I use to use a apogee duet and Logic functioned fine. I have just installed the digi 002 rack. The only time I can monitor a instrument is after it has been recorded and is being played back.

Make sure the output preference in the utilities of your mac settings is set to your digirack it might still be set to the default output.
