Locating Plug-in's in logic ? ?

Hello,

I recently acquired some new plug-ins but I am unable to find them when I open logic. The files are .component, and I have placed them in the components file located at Library/audio/plugins/components.

My method for finding the plug-ins in logic is opening a drop down box under 'inserts', in the mixing window and scrolling through available plug-ins. This has been to no avail.

If anyone can please help me out on this it would be VERY much appreciated.

what type of plugins?...i would recomend just dling vsti's and such..makes life easy

The thread is a bit old, but just in case the OP is still looking for an answer: the plugin should indeed reside in /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components or in ~/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components. If you can't see it in Logic, then restart Logic. If you still can't see it, perhaps you should validate it using the Audio Unit Manager under Preferences by clicking the "Reset/rescan" button, if Logic has found the plugin it should definitely be listed there.
