Hello folks,
I am trying to record an electric guitar part using a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 and Ableton Live 9 Suite into my PC. I am using Guitar Rig 5 as a plugin in Ableton to get the guitar tones.
There is a direct monitor switch in the Scarlet 2i2 which gives me the unaffected guitar signal into my headphones for monitoring. However i am not being able to record distorted guitar parts as there is a time lag when i switch on the monitor option in Ableton. I have tried lowering the number of samples in input and output but the lag remains. Also, if i reduce the samples below a certain level, there is a cracking sound in the input.
Can anyone please tell me how to remove the time lag while recording in Ableton so that i can hear the tones out of guitar rig 5 while recording...
Thanks in Advance
