I'm about upgrade my studio equipment (from Yamaha MD8) and was wondering if you can link 2 DP-32's. So when the tracks are armed and you press record both machines start, or would you have to press the buttons at the same time on the separate machines? Hope and pray that they are in sync.

I'm a drummer who needs more than 8 simultaneously track recorded at once. 2 for snare drum, 2 for bass drum, 3 toms, 2 floor toms, 2 overheads and 1 hi-hats. Also 2 room mics. That is a total of 14. I know I can use a lot less, but I would also like the option of doing the above config. Thanks for your time and input.

If it were possible don't you think Tascam would mention it in the manual? Have you looked at the manual (available on line from Tascam)? I did, and no mention of linking two units together.

Yes I did, but was hoping someone had already tried it and was able to make it work. No worries, thanks for the reply.

It should work connecting Midi Out of one to Midi IN on the other, one Master, the other Slave, but ....

I know it is possible with NEO because it can work as master or slave with MIDI connection. I use it as slave. As I remember DP-32 has some problem with Midi Master/Slave, I don't remember which one does not work so, may be you could link a NEO with a DP-32. If you already have 2 DP, sorry, it looks like is not possible.
