Line Out to Speaker Out?

Tons of threads all over about turning a Speaker Out into Line Out, but not the reverse

So I bought an Orange 100 watt bass amp which comes with a Direct Out & Line Out, but no Speaker Out. Is it possible to use a Direct or Line Out and convert it to a Speaker Out to add cabs?

Assume this Orange 100 is a combo amp, with a wire running out of the amp to the built-in speaker. If you want to run a cabinet instead of the built-in, disconnect the leads from the speaker, and connect/solder an output jack to them. If you just run a cable to the speaker connections (because you want to use the built-in speaker too), then you could get an impedance issue (running two speakers in parallel).

Why wouldn't it have the same tone? Isn't this like a miniature version of plugging the amp into the house PA?

Because the amp and speaker are part of the tone. If you change them you change the tone. It may be a little or a lot, but it will be different.
