Hi, I'm Marcel, I have two different questions. I own a Line 6 which as you may know, has MIDI in and out. As well as Re-amping feature. The re-amping feature is a studio setup that allows me to run a guitar out into my DIGI002 and running it out again thru one of my Analog output channels. How do I set up so that I can hear the effects that are coming in thru my DIGI 002 and out of the ANALOG output of the line 6? I need to know how to set up tracks on pro tools so i can do this.

My second QA is a more complicated. I got the MIDI in and out plug in to my POD. I am familiar with MIDI, but i guess not enough. Under my controller tab in my MIDI track I see a list of different assigned programs coming out of the POD, as I record my guitar along with the MIDI information, I can see MIDI activity, but when I play back my recording, I dont hear any of the effects. The POD could let me do effects Automation, like Line 6 AMP FARM, except thru the actual RACK unit. How do i get to re-record the effects being captured by the Line 6?

Thank you for your help  ;)

I'm fairly certain that the MIDI i/o on the PODs aren't for trasferring musical signals, but are for controlling the POD with a MIDI-based foot controller.

Here is one way of doing it. Open 2 Mono tracks, 1 Aux and 1 Audio. Plug your guitar in direct to say Mic/Line1. Run the output of your Line6 into Mic/Line3 and back into it from Analog3 on your 002. On your Audio track set the Input as Mic/Line1 and open a bus send to your Interface Analog3. On your Aux track set the Input as Mic/Line3. This lets you record your guitar dry but monitor it wet allowing you to change your amp settings afterwords. Your going to hear your dry signal come out of your monitors unless you set the Output of your Audio track to NoOutput, so do that. Now just record a short piece to check it out. Play it back and Shazzam!!!! You hear your wet signal still from your Aux track, While you play it back change your Line6 Amp settings and your now able to change your guitar sound to be able to final tweak it when your ready to create a final Audio track with the sound that fits best just like its a PlugIn such as Amplitube. Try it out. :) Now for your second Q. You want your final track right?... Just open a new Audio track set the Input as Mic/Line3 and record enable it. Play back your guitar track and you now have your Final guitar track with your Killer guitar sound!
